Shepherd Huts were used as early as the 17th Century to provide somewhere warm and dry for shepherds to live amidst their flocks in remote locations.
Shepherd Huts are now the must have accessory for every garden or field, providing extra space for work, rest, or play.
At Woodrose we combine the standards of a high grade furniture and joinery workshop with a keen eye for detail to create huts which will last a hundred years or more.
Every aspect of our huts; design, materials, construction and finish, are chosen to achieve something that is as good looking as it will be long lasting.
The walls, floors and roof of the huts are fully insulated so you will be cool in summer and toasty warm in the winter.
You can choose the size of your hut, the position of door and windows, timers, colours, metalwork and other details making each of our huts truly bespoke.

Hardwood Clad
All the timbers we use are from sustainable sources. We season locally sourced hardwoods on site in our barn.
The axles and chassis are made using air dried Oak and Douglas Fir from Yorkshire.
Timber exterior cladding is Coast Redwood or Cedar from local sources.
Floors are made from beautiful oak, elm, cherry, apple, larch or whatever takes your fancy.
The wheels are specially cast for us and all metalwork is made by our artisan blacksmith.
